Room for Art ("RFA," "we," and "us") is a gallery based in Stanfordville, NY. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Inquiry form: name, email address, subject, and message.

  • Mailing list: email address.

  • Direct correspondence: anything you send to inquiry@roomforartny.com.

  • Website usage: IP address, device, browser, pages viewed, how you reached the site, and approximate location (inferred from your IP address), collected through cookies and Squarespace's built-in analytics.

How we use it

  • To respond to inquiries about artwork, exhibitions, and events, including arranging any resulting sale.

  • To send news, exhibition announcements, and event invitations to those who subscribe.

  • To understand how visitors use the site and improve the site.

Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site, including Squarespace (hosting, forms, analytics, email). These providers may process data under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic function and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not be available. The site is not designed to respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

Mailing list

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. The site is hosted on Squarespace, which encrypts traffic between your browser and the site.

Retention
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond and to maintain ordinary business and tax records. We keep mailing list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email inquiry@roomforartny.com and we will aim to respond within 30 days.

Third-party links
The site links to outside services such as Artsy and Instagram, and embeds a Google Map. These services may collect your IP address and set cookies when you load or use them. Their privacy practices are their own.

Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email inquiry@roomforartny.com and we will delete it.

Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest revision.
